A brief summary:
During this 10 day tour we will visit the seaside town Paralio Astros with its
small port and many tavernas along the seafront.
We will also visit the well known archeological sites of Argos, Mycene and
Epidavros. A visit to the, originally Venetian, town of Nafplion is another highlight of this tour.
An offroad tour will bring us up the Parnon mountains through old chestnut forests, scenic mountain villages like Kosmas and the Elonis monastery to one of the most scenic bays in the Peloponnese. Here you will stay 2 nights in a restored olive oilmill close to the beach.
After a relaxing stay we will continue our tour along the unspoiled east coast
to yet another bay near Kiparissi, here you stay in an apartment close to some very nice beaches.
Next day we continue our journey to Monemvasia, a medieval town on a small peninsula off the east coast. After a visit we drive to our next destination, a hotel offering panoramic views of Mt Taygetos. A 2 nights stay here gives us the opportunity to climb Profitis Ilias, highest summit of
Mt Taygetos at 2404m.
Day 8 we drive offroad along the slopes of Mt Taygetos towards Mistras.
After a visit we drive to Sparta and back to Anigraia.
After our return to Anigraia, we will the next day make a tour along the onto a face cliff wedged monastery of Prodromos and the mountain village of Doliana, where we will have a traditional meal.


Accommodation
You will stay in one of the apartments of Anigraia, a group of traditional built
stone houses with swimming pool.
All apartments have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sitting room with fire place and TV, internet, open plan kitchen, balcony and airconditioning.
Along the swimming pool there are deck chairs available to enjoy the view.
The complex is situated in quiet environs, near the town of Astros and a
5 minutes drive from the beach at Paralio Astros, east coast Peloponnese.
Day 3 and 4 you will stay in a restored olive oilmill with small taverna close to the beach. Day 5 you in an apartment in Kiparissi bay close to the beach. Day 6 and 7 you stay in a hotel offering panoramic views of Mt Taygetos.
