A brief summary:
The flora of Olympos, Pangeo and Ossa have our special attention during this tour. After arriving in Thessaloniki we will first travel to our hotel at the base of Mt Pangeo. Next day we will drive up to the higher parts of this mountain,
plants we can find here, among others, are: Paeonia saueri(peregrina), Fritillaria pontica, Fritillaria drenovskyi, Saxifraga ferdinandi-coburgi, Saxifraga sempervivum, Saxifraga juniperifolia, Dactylorhiza sambucina, Matthiola fruticulosa. During the tour from 29th of May we will also find Geranium macrorrhizum, Aquilegia vulgaris, Daphne kosaninii, Haberlea rhodopensis and Omphalodes luciliae.
Day 3 we are heading for Mt Olympos and our next hotel, a mountain resort in the Pieria mountains with great Olympos views. Next day we will explore the Papa Rema area on the northern slopes of Mt Olympos. Together with several orchid species, like Orchis simia, Orchis spitzeli and Orchis tridentata
we will see Jancaea heldreichii here. But also species like Pinguicula crystallina ssp hirtiflora, Achillea ageratifolia and Centaurea pindicola can be found here.
Day 5 is spend in the official National Park area on the eastern side of Olympos, the Enipeus valley. Here we can see Iberis sempervirens, Platanthera chlorantha, Limodorum abortivum and Aquilegia ottonis ssp amaliae. Along tracks we will drive over the western slopes of Olympos on day 6, here we might find Daphne mezereum, Saxifraga scardica, Saxifraga sempervivum, Orchis morio, Orchis mascula, Orchis purpurea, Primula veris,
Chamaecytisus polytrichus, Fritillaria messanensis.
Day 7 we finally will visit the higher parts of Olympos, with some luck it will be possible to get at approx. 2000m with our cars. At this location we may find Hypericum olympicum, Myosotis alpestris, Tulipa australis, Potentilla deorum, Campanula oreadum and Veronica thessala.
Day 8 a visit to Mt Ossa is planned, together with Mt Pieria these mountains form the satellite mountains of Mt Olympos(see map). While walking to the summit of Mt Ossa at 1978m, we will encounter Fritillaria montana, Aubrieta scardica, Astragalus angustifolius and Ornithogalum nutans. In the summit area we will also find Saxifraga scardica, Erodium absinthoides and Androsace villosa.
Day 9 we will make a tour through forested Mt Pieria, together with several orchid species we also will find Geum coccineum.
Day 10 is your transfer to Thessaloniki airport.

The first 2 nights you will stay in a hotel at the base of Mt Pangeo.
The following nights will be spend in a mountain resort in Mt Pieria with nice Olympos views.
